Extra Curricular Tax Donations (ECA Tax Donations)
The fall is giving season and a great time to remind your families that they can max out their ECA on Heritage programs before the end of the year if they haven’t already.
In the last legislative session, there were a few new expenses that are now eligible to be funded with ECA money.
Here’s an updated reference document on this topic from the AZ Dept of Revenue.

Junior Classical League Fundraiser 
Box-tops
Please download the new Box Tops app on your mobile device and avoid having to remember to clip and send Box Tops in to the school.  You simply scan your shopping receipts through the app and the funds earned are added to the amount earned for the Junior Classical League at Heritage Academy Gateway.  Please be sure to search for our school specifically when you connect with the app.  This is the only fundraiser the JCL does through the entire year, and it’s just a matter of scanning the receipts for items you are already buying.  View this 45-second video to see how it works.  Thank you for your support!   https://youtu.be/Hh94b2BvFK4

Earn an Associates Degree at Heritage Academy!

The Success Coach from Rio Salado College can provide a personalized student support system for information, advice, and encouragement.  They can recommend which courses to take, ensure you are taking them in the right order, and answer any questions you have along the way.  Appointments are available every other Monday (2:00-4:00 pm) during the months of October, November and December. GCU Field Trip – November 8

Scholars in grades 11 & 12 are invited to take a field trip to Grand Canyon University. They will learn about some of the 200 degree programs that are offered at GCU. A campus tour will be provided, along with a tour of the dorms, classrooms, and facilities. This event is FREE and it includes lunch and transportation!

WHEN – November 8th – Bus leaves Gateway at 7:30 AM, returning approx. 2:30 pm
RSVP– Please return your permission slips to Mrs. Weiler by no later than Thursday, November 1. Permission slips can be picked up in the front office.

Ace Puente Program (Achieving a College Education) meeting Tuesday, November 5, 11:15-11:45 am, Room 421

Attention Sophomores: You can earn up to 24 college credits completely free! Must apply by December 5 of your Sophomore year. Attend the upcoming meeting on Tuesday, November 5 during citizenship to learn more. See Mrs. Weiler, if you have any questions. ACE Puente participants are recruited in their sophomore year of high school. Students take hybrid and online college courses while in their junior and senior years, allowing them to graduate with up to 24 college credits.
