Recently, Mayor Wheatley announced the creation of the Mayor’s Teen Advisory Committee, which will kick off in fall 2024. Applications of interest are currently being accepted.
In preparation for the committee, the Mayor is hosting the first Teen Voices Summit on Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Queen Creek Public Library. In addition to networking and hearing about engagement opportunities, attendees will engage in a variety of discussions to help the Town develop a youth needs assessment, which will be a guiding document for the Teen Advisory Committee.
Student attendees must live in Queen Creek and be incoming 9th-12th graders for the upcoming 2024-25 school year.  More information and registration can be found here: www.queencreekaz.gov/teenvoices.

Cross-Country-Camp-NAU-2024

Dates: July 8-11
Where: Flagstaff, AZ
Who: athletes in grades 9-12 during the 2024-25 school year
Cost: $500 per athlete  – Full payment must be received by May 1st to guarantee a slot.
Includes: transportation to and from the camp, all meals, 2 snacks per day, lodging, water activity at Lake Mary, hiking, nutrition education, running technique drills, and many miles of running.
