Please join us for the Heritage Academy Best Buddies Club!
This year we are partnering with Lexington Academy to help foster one-to-one friendships between Heritage Gateway students and Lexington students diagnosed with autism. We will be having monthly activities where scholars can interact with their Lexington buddies to build lasting relationships and friendships. Some of the upcoming activities include:
- Movie and popcorn
- Feeding the animals at the nearby exotic animal farm
- Christmas party
- Best Buddies prom
If you are interested come to our first meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 13th at 3:35 pm in room 152. In this meeting, we will disperse interest surveys so we can find the best buddy match for you. We will also have training from the Lexington teachers to help each Heritage buddy understand the needs of the Lexington buddies they will be working with.

The PSAT/NMSQT test will be held on Tuesday, October 25th at Heritage Academy.
The PSAT/NMSQT is given to 10th and 11th grade students. It is designed to help prepare students for the SAT test and is the official route of entry into the National Merit Scholarship Program for 11th graders. Scholars who take the PSAT will be excused from their 1B & 2B classes on October 25th, but are responsible for reaching out to their teachers before the test to make up assignments or assessments. Scholars will be responsible to be at Heritage Gateway at 7:00 AM on October 25th in order to complete the administrative paperwork and take the test. All scholars should be done by 11:00 AM and will be held until their lunch/Citizenship class begins at 11:21 AM. Heritage does not offer a preparation class for the PSAT, but if you would like free preparation resources click below.
