PSAT/SAT prep course
The PSAT is Wednesday, October 24.
The PSAT is an optional preparatory test for the SAT with four focus areas: reading, writing, language, and math. Students can use their scores to think strategically about where they will apply to college. The cost is $20. The most common reasons for taking the PSAT are:
  • To help prepare for the SAT. You will become familiar with the kinds of questions and the exact directions you will see on the SAT.
  • To enter the competition for scholarships from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (grade 11).
  • To assess your strengths and weaknesses on skills necessary for college study.
  • To see how your performance on admissions tests compares to other students applying to college.
  • To receive information from colleges when you check “yes” to Student Search Service.
  • To help prepare for the SAT. You can become familiar with the kinds of questions and the exact directions you will see on the SAT.
A PSAT AND SAT prep course is offered through the Heritage Mesa campus. See flyers for details: PSAT Prep Sem. Flyer 2018  or SAT Prep Course 2018 . Registration and payment for both opportunities can be done through the hagateway.com site. On homepage select “parents”, choose “payments” follow instructions and choose “other” and add the description: “PSAT Test or PSAT/SAT Prep Seminar”.

Underclassment party, for freshman and sophomores, is Thursday, Sept. 6th, from 6-9 pm at Starfighter Arcade in Mesa (4840 e. Jasmine St. #102 Mesa 85205).  Scholars have unlimited video game and pinball games with admission at no additional cost.
The cost of admission is $5 if tickets are purchased at school on 9/6.  This also enables scholars to participate in a D$D that is exclusively for the underclassmen.  Scholars must wear the wristband from school to the event for admission.  Tickets will be sold at the door for $10.

Discover the Making of America.  A learning experience your whole family will never forget.
